2026 Malta information display

Malta’s Tourism Accommodation Regulations 2026 came into effect on 15 June 2026. For short-let rented accommodation, the standards require an exterior sign identifying the address, licensed status, official licence or registration number, and the name, surname and contact number of a designated natural person available 24/7. Inside the unit, the responsible person’s name and 24-hour phone number, together with emergency contact information, must be prominently displayed.
The MTA has stated that it intends to issue further instructions to keep exterior signs uniform, particularly for existing properties. LUNQO therefore uses customer-approved data and an updateable design approach; these products are not described as MTA-approved or officially certified.

What information do I need to provide?
The exact fields depend on the kit. They can include property name and address, Wi-Fi details, QR links, check-out time, licence number, responsible-person contact, emergency details, logo and mounting preference.
Can I approve the design before production?
Yes. Production begins after you approve the consolidated design proof and confirm the property-specific data.
Can I update a phone number or QR code later?
Many data areas use replaceable printed inserts so a change may not require remaking the entire product. The exact update method and price depend on the item.
Are the signs suitable for outdoor use?
Products specified for outdoor use use ASA or another confirmed exterior system. Indoor PLA products should not be placed in exposed Maltese sun.
What mounting options are available?
Depending on the surface and product, mounting can use suitable 3M VHB-type adhesive or screws and spacers. The operator must confirm the substrate and any landlord or condominium permission.
Can I order for multiple properties?
Yes. Five- and ten-property packs use a portfolio template with unit-specific data. Larger portfolios require a manual quote.
Which languages are available?
English is the launch default. Additional language requirements are reviewed during the proof stage to confirm layout and readability before production.
How long does production take?
Estimated lead times range from 2–4 business days for Starter to 10–18 business days for the 10-property pack, beginning after complete information and design approval.
Does the Compliance Kit guarantee legal compliance?
No. It helps organise and display information. Owners and operators remain responsible for accurate data and for confirming the current requirements applicable to their accommodation.
What happens after I place my order?
We collect or review the relevant property data, prepare a design proof, request your approval, then proceed with production, quality checks and Malta delivery or pickup.
